The Stevens-Johnson syndrome is characterized by high mortality and multiple mucocutaneous involvement. Is extensive necrosis of the epidermis and the denuded area is susceptible to infections, however, no consensus exists on the local care. This was accompanied by a Case Study in a state hospital, located in the municipality of Vila Velha, ES, with a child of seven years, with a diagnosis of chickenpox and concomitant with the evolution of Stevens-Johnson syndrome. Objective: To describe new nursing interventions in the conservative treatment of Stevens-Johnson syndrome, using special dressings. Reepithelialization passed in twenty-two days of treatment. It was possible to monitor healing and to report the experience of using these technologies in such a disease, providing new and effective nursing actions.
