Report of experience of treatment of diabetic foot injury in home care

Objective: To report nursing care to a patient with amputation in the secondary foot, initially diabetic foot ulcer, associating coverage and nutritional supplementation. Methods: This is a report of experience in the care provided between December 2018 and June 2019 during the follow-up of a patient in home care. Results: There was a significant improvement in the healing process in the first 02 months. Conclusion: The role of nursing is very important in order to guide diabetic patients about daily foot care and preventing the appearance of injuries. highlighting the improvement of quality of life, improvement of comfort, improvement of pain and reduction of stress of the patient.
