Objective: To identify the incidence and prevalence of perilesional dermatitis in venous ulcers in patients treated at a private clinic specializing in wound care in the state of Pará, as well as to characterize the patients with venous ulcers who developed perilesional dermatitis. Method: This is an exploratory and descriptive study, which used data from the medical records of the 23 participants to characterize the sample and, for the assessment of the wound and peripheral dermatitis, we used the version translated and adapted for Brazilian culture of the Bates-Jensen Scale. Results: The findings showed that the prevalence was 21.74%, with an incidence of 8.70% in the first month; no new cases in the second month and 13.05% in the third month of the survey. Conclusion: Further studies are needed to support protocol actions for the management of dermatitis in patients with venous ulcers.
