Abstract

Objectives: - to recognize the importance of nutrition in wound healing; - to map the evidence/knowledge on the topic under study. Method: Scoping Review of full and open access articles published between 2010 and 2020 in the Google Academic, EBSCOhost and PubMed databases. Results and discussion: All the analysed articles explain the importance of nutrition in the wound healing process, namely in reducing the healing time. Conclusion: There seems to be a consensus in the analyzed articles about the direct relationship between nutrition and wound healing, both in terms of treatment and prevention.
